Mother's Day brunch is served at the Lodge at St. Edward.

if Ever there were a time to jump on a reservation drop, it's now, in the weeks leading up to Mother's Day. The alternative? Perhaps a panicked grocery run and slim pickings in the meal department. So leave the Mother’s Day prep, service, and cleanup to the experts slinging local fare and snag a spot at a Seattle institution.

Cafe Flora

8am–2:30pm | $65, $25 kids

The light, cozy Madison Valley spot upgrades its usual vegetarian weekend brunch to a swanky three-course menu: Start with berry-topped beignets and continue with lavender pistachio French toast or the veggie-forward pupusas before capping the meal with a strawberry pavlova or rhubarb cornmeal upside down cake.

Carrello

11am–2pm | $65, $35 kids

The Capitol Hill Italian restaurant revives a niche tradition just for brunch: the two-course meal arrives at each table by way of a special cart. Ricotta-stuffed brioche French toast and an elaborate cured king salmon are among the choices.

Cedar and Elm

10am–2pm | à la carte or $90 buffet

The Lodge at St. Edward's resident restaurant boasts dry tonkotsu udon, a mushroom frittata, and wagyu brunch burger in two festive brunch seatings. In the hotel's ballroom, a $90 buffet awaits for the all-you-can-eat celebrators.

Perched above Elliot Bay, downtown’s bustle, and the iconic Smith Tower, the views from the Lotte Hotel’s Charlotte Restaurant are second only to the three-course Mother’s Day brunch. This year's menu stars a coconut pandan French toast, pan-seared Alaskan halibut, and an outright decadent dessert buffet.

De la Soil

10–11am | à la carte

Copperworks Kenmore's farm-to-table kitchen concept whips up a Mother's Day brunch starring warm sopapillas, carnitas-filled breakfast burritos, and lamb shakshuka. The restaurant sits right on the Burke-Gilman Trail, perfect for a post-brunch walk.

In between, entrées range from the decidedly brunch (eggs Florentine) to the almost dinner (lamb rack). Plus, moms kick off the meal with a festive spritzer.

Smith Tower

10AM–1:30pm | $80, $30–55 kids

Inside the downtown landmark, a three-course prix fixe brunch pairs with celebratory cocktails. Meal reservations include access to the historic exhibits and 35th-floor Observatory for the architecture and history nerds among us.
